Biagio Pizzuti - Gianni Schicchi*

Young Italian baritone, he recently performed Schaunard in La Bohème and Grégorio in Roméo et Juliette under the baton of Fabio Luisi (recorded by Decca) at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. He sang Don Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia in Bologna and performed in Cléopatre at the Withsun Festival in Salzburg as a member of the Salzburg Young Singers Project under Vladimir Fedoseyev; he then appeared as Betto di Signa in Gianni Schicchi at the Theater and der Wien and was then involved in another production of the same opera at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence. He recently sang Leporello in Don Giovanni in Maribor and Dulcamara in L’Elisir d’Amore on tour in Italy for the Circuito Lirico Lombardo; Don Giovanni (Masetto) at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo; Guglielmo in Così fan tutte in Liverpool.

Future plans: Il Viaggio a Reims at the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam.

Sergio Vitale - Gianni Schicchi

Recipient of various awards, Sergio Vitale has recently done his debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro singing Don Profondo in Il Viaggio a Reims.During 2010/2011 season Mr Vitale sang as soloist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. More recently Mr Vitale performed in Rigoletto at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia; Un ballo in maschera at the Teatro Regio in Parma; Falstaff (title role) at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano. He recently took part in a Japanese tour with the Teatro alla Scala, singing Marullo in Rigoletto; then he has been Figaro Il barbiere di Siviglia in Trento and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, then he participated in Falstaff in Amsterdam and in Aureliano in Palmira at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.

Among his future plans, it is worth mentioning Rigoletto at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Madama Butterfly in Fidenza, and he will participate in Falstaff at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.
